In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the formal release, "A strange confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.

The mission focuses on "peculiar trials and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Bonus Content

Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana alongside multiple items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Content

This patch also introduces the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful adventure teams Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange characteristic skills: Naoe introduces a performative variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-fatal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some lingering questions from the main storyline.
