Individual Accused in Brown University Incident Located Deceased Inside Storage Facility.

The individual believed to be the recent fatal violence at Brown University reportedly committed suicide on Thursday evening, per officials.

His body was discovered at a storage facility on Thursday evening, according to information from an enforcement source. The same individual is also believed of killing a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor at a residence in the Boston area.

“He ended his own life tonight,” said the head of the Providence police department during a news briefing.

The chief named the deceased man as Claudio Nevis Valenti, a 48-year-old individual enrolled at Brown University.

This development comes after a major police presence at a storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire earlier on Thursday. Witnesses reported seeing multiple agents in tactical gear converging on the location.

The manhunt for the shooter had restarted on Monday after the attorney general's office announced that a person of interest on Sunday had been let go. This development was acknowledged to be deeply concerning for the city residents.

Local officials emphasized that while the release was a setback, the overall case was not paused unabated.

The young victims who lost their lives in the shooting have been named by family. They are Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama who was active in a campus political group, and MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, an Uzbek national in his first year who dreamed of becoming a neurosurgeon.

Officials are scheduled to hold a press conference to provide further details on the suspect's death.
