The City of Angels witnessed citywide festivities after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Supporters worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Los Angeles area celebrations featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an interpreter.
The procession path concluded at the stadium, where the team emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and the artist driving a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.
