The thrilling 11-inning contest that saw the Dodgers beat the Blue Jays 5-4 drew a total 51 million viewers across the United States, Canadian, and Japanese markets. Major League Baseball announced this represents the highest-rated Fall Classic Game 7 after the 1991 showdown featuring the Twins and Atlanta Braves.

In the Japanese market, where the final game started at 9 PM in the local time zone, it averaged 12M. This followed the previous Friday’s Game 6 – where Fall Classic MVP Yamamoto gave up one run in six frames – drew 13.1 million viewers, making it the most-watched World Series matchup on a single network in the country.
