This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement within the fandom. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions ahead of the title's launch, to trainers developing strong opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is inspired by a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

Aries – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. Much like a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross, whether in its standard and Mega form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Fans couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Leo offers to the table. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for aliens.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly critical is strongly reflected throughout this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a always shocked face like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden sends to the group chat when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would probably benefit from Super Audino's skills. However, to be frank, it would probably just make them worry even more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the number of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly small jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even mentions how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can think of.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict calamities ahead of time? That exudes the identical vibe as a Goat, who often always believe they’re right. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very initial Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
